Welcome to Daybreak Coffee!

Hi, my name is Mariah, and I’m the founder of Daybreak Coffee. Daybreak Coffee was born out of a deep love for coffee and an even deeper desire to create spaces where people feel safe and connected. Our mission is to empower women in the surf and skate community by creating these safe spaces and serving high-quality, freshly roasted coffee.

At Daybreak Coffee, we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality. Our freshly roasted beans are available in both whole bean and ground forms, and every step of our process—from sourcing to roasting to packaging—is infused with care and dedication. We’ve built a loyal community around our brand, hosting surf and skate events where people can come together, share stories, and enjoy a cup of coffee that’s been crafted with intention.

At an early age, my grandma’s little house on the water became my safe haven—a place of peace where the aroma of coffee filled the air. Drinking coffee on the porch, listening to stories, and watching the water created a core memory that allowed me to escape the everyday chaos.

As I grew older, coffee shops became my refuge. They were spaces where I could focus, find solace, and connect with others. The idea of creating a space where others could find that same sense of safety and connection became my driving force.

My early experiences with coffee, combined with the peace I found in surf and skate, laid the foundation for what Daybreak Coffee is today. I’ve worked in the coffee industry for over five years, managing shops and learning the art of roasting. My journey has taken me from Virginia Beach to San Diego and back, all the while honing my craft and growing my passion for creating community through coffee.

Daybreak Coffee was initially a mobile brand, bringing coffee to surf and skate events. We’ve since grown a loyal following, with people appreciating not just our quality coffee, but the mission behind it. We’ve committed to donating 10% of our profits to support women in the surf and skate community—a community that, like coffee, has been a source of peace and empowerment in my life.

Cheers,
Mariah Liebig
